As someone who moved to Florida over two decades ago, and decided to make this beautiful state my home, I have observed with great dismay, the destruction of Florida's treasured natural places. In the name of progress, more and more of the remaining natural habitat is being replaced by urban sprawl, golf courses, and highways.
This state's natural places are not just shrinking, but they are drying up due to the over pumping of the aquifer and rivers to quench the insatiable thirst of human progress.
With this small selection of some of my favorite natural and wildlife photographs of Florida, I hope to inspire and educate others about our state's natural beauty and wonder, in an effort to preserve and restore Florida's natural places.
